The Startup Experience Workshop Application 2017 T1
The Startup Experience is created by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs.

It's an intensive two day workshop introducing you to the entrepreneurial mindset and provides hands-on training in high impact entrepreneurship. Participants develop creative capacity, entrepreneurial confidence, and acquire the skills to build scalable ventures that solve real problems.

A competitive application process will determine which participants are granted entrance, it’s quite a demanding workshop and we’re looking for passionate individuals, with a willingness to contribute and a strong work ethic. As we are assessing applications on a rolling basis, the sooner you apply the higher your chances of a successful outcome.


Dates: Saturday 29 - Sunday 30 April 2017 (full days)
Meet & Greet: Friday 28th April  6.00pm - 7.30pm
Location: Deakin University, Burwood Campus.
Applications Close April 1st 2017
Eligibility: Students, Staff, Alumni of Deakin University with additional limited space for members of the public. 

About the Facilitator
 
You will be trained by Danish serial entrepreneur Henrik Scheel, who lives in Silicon Valley, California, one of the leading technology hubs of the world. Henrik brings a wealth of experience from the startup ecosystem in San Francisco and has worked with entrepreneurs in over 20 countries around the world.  Henrik's clients include NASA, Intel, Microsoft and he has worked in 25 countries with over 164 institutions. 

The Accelerator
For anyone intending to apply for The Pitch which grants you access to the Accelerator including $10 000 equity free funding, mentorship and co-working space, we highly recommend attending this workshop which includes practical pitch training. In the past The Pitch participants who have attended this workshop have performed significantly better.

Henrik is also available with drop in office hours for consultations if you want to discuss your startup and whether you should apply- contact us to book these between 19 April and 2nd May (In Geelong, CBD and Burwood).

It is not necessary to have startup experience though we are looking for ambitious, driven participants who are open minded and ready to collaborate and work hard during the weekend.

It's okay if you don't have any. It's curiosity and passion we're more interested in than experience.

I understand if I am accepted into The Startup Experience I will provide the registration fee of $33 and photographs taken during the workshop may be used by the Deakin University in University publications, promotional material, on the website and in social media.

Catering will be provided over the two days. You must arrange your own transport to and from the venue. If you do not want to be photographed please flag this with the photographer on the day.
